[Letterhead] April 16, 1943 2:30 P.M. Dear Mom, Your letter arrived yesterday, but things have been in such a turmoil that I couldn't answer it till today. First of all, as you know, I was on K.P. all day yesterday. Then today, we were supposed to go to Tiger Camp, so we got all ready. Our coveralls and leggin's put on, and our barracks bags all packed. At the last minute they told us we weren't going, and to get ready for a full field inspection, with all our equipment laid out. We have just done that and are waiting for the Colonel to inspect us. Here he comes. --- 7:00 P.M.---Just got back to the letter. The inspection went off fine and we were complimented on the neatness and cleanliness
