[Letterhead] P.S.-Hope you like the clippings. J October 14, 1943 1530 Dearest Mom, Received your swell newsy letter, and all the clippings, last night. What do you mean, I don't want to hear from you? Are you getting balmy? Didn't I answer the letter before this right away? Shame on you for thinking such things. You have been busy, havent you? What with all that canning and house-cleaning, I'll bet you are tired. But that canned stuff will be well worth the effort of putting it up. Especially, the famous Hyde chili sauce. My writing looks terrible, as I'm writing this, sitting in my jeep.
