[Letterhead] P.S.-Please note new address P.P.S.-Couldn't get a map until now, but better late than never. J. September 21, [1943?] 1640 Dearest Mom, Seems like I've neglected you shamefully, as far as my letter writing is concerned. But honestly, if I have time to write one letter, it goes to Sally. And one is about all I've had time to write at one time. This business of setting up a new camp and on top of that, half of our complement being away on furlough, there's been an awful lot of work. I've found some time for recreation, and I've grabbed it at every opportunity. All work and no play---you know---ha ha. (Joke) Things are in an awful turmoil around here today. All of our regiment is being changed to a combat unit, and it's quite a job, although it looks as if they're doing everything the hard way as usual.
