41 1 of his race, color, religion, sex, or national origin, or to 2 classify or refer for employment any individual on the basis 3 of his race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. 4 (c) It shall be an unlawful employment practice for a 5 labor organization - 6 (1) to exclude or to expel from its membership, or 7 otherwise to discriminate against, any individual because 8 of his rare, color, religion, sex, or national origin; 9 (2) to limit, segregate, or classify its membership, 10 or to classify or fail or refuse to refer for employment 11 any individual, in any way which would deprive or tend 12 to deprive any individual of employment opportunities, 13 or would limit such employment opportunities or other- 14 wise adversely affect his status as an employee or as an 15 applicant for employment, because of such individual's 16 race, color, religion, sex, or national origin; or 17 (3) to cause or attempt to cause an employer to 18 discriminate against an individual in violation of this 19 section. 20 (d) It shall be an unlawful employment practice for 21 any employer, labor organization, or joint labor-management 22 committee controlling apprenticeship or other training or 23 retraining, including on-the-job training programs to dis- 24 criminate against any individual because of his race, color, A.H.R. 7152 - No. 656 - T- 6
