As you are well aware, the success of our "Orientation U.S." Program for foreign diplomats is largely due to cooperation from Americans such as yourself who volunteer to extend hospitality to our foreign friends regardless of the color of their skin. AL HORN writes: Our ANNUAL FINANCIAL CAMPAIGN has been in progress since April 15th and will continue through May 15th. It is our hope that all of you will contribute and will invite the participation of your friends. Because of our lack of funds, we were not able to retain our Assistant Director, Mr. Thomas McPherson. Only your interest, your contributions, your monthly dues can sustain the Council. There will be for many years the need of the Council - LAWS CAN CHANGE THE PATTERNS OF SEGREGATION, BUT ONLY HUMAN RELATIONS GROUPS can change the hearts of mankind.
