April 7, 1964 COUNCIL ON HUMAN RELATIONS OF GREATER ATLANTA 5 Forsyth Street, N. W. Atlanta, Georgia Telephone: 523-1581 YOU ALL ARE WELCOME...Laws and customs change from day to day, sometimes from hour to hour. There are degrees of "segregation" and "desegregation"--"segregated" may mean no Negroes or it may mean Negroes and whites segregated within the same facility. It is customary to make changes in racial policies without public announcement, which is at times necessary and desirable. This does make it difficult, however, for those affected to secure accurate information. Periodically the COUNCIL ON HUMAN RELATIONS OF GREATER ATLANTA compiles a list of places which as far as we can determine, are open to all. We welcome additions and corrections. This list is accurate as of April 7, 1964, to the best of our knowledge. We have omitted those places where Negroes may have been served but where management stated that the policy is not certain.
