PEACE FEST 4C - Iowa City Press-Citizen - Monday, May 3, 1971 [2 photos] They came by the thousands to the Lake Macbride Field Campus Saturday - to rally for peace, to hear rock music and speeches, to throw frisbees and blow bubbles. The strong of purpose, those just looking for a good time - a spring break. And the curious. There were 10,000 or more in all, despite confusion about the site until almost the last minute. The peace-fest was - peaceful, if noisy. And, as its sponsors had promised, there were no "bad problems."
