(Press-Citizen Photo) Local Peace Advocates Stage an 'Induction' About 20 local peace advocates staged a short demonstration at the Iowa City Post Office about 1:15 p.m. Wednesday to swear in board members of the Johnson County "Shadow Draft Board" and to "induct" 12 local citizens. The "inductees" are being asked to involve themselves constructively in peace and community work. According to Frank Leone of 311 North Gilbert Street, the Shadow Draft Board was organized in response to the new draft law passed by Congress. "The organization will operate in the shadow of the official board to call local citizens to peaceful service in the community," he said. Allan Nagel of Route 1 said the board was also organized to protest the failure of the official board to meet with the public and talk with citizens. The group marched to the Draft Board office on the second floor of the Post Office building where the Rev. Roger Simpson of 1029 Kirkwood Avenue administered an "Oath of office" to the five board members: Stephanie Weller of 613 North Gilbert Street, Allan Nagel, Donald Spencer of Route 4, Daniel Clark of North Liberty and Ilene Kruse of 24 North Gilbert Street. After the board members were sworn in,t he group returned to the front of the Post Office where they announced the names of the 12 "draftees." They are Charles Attig, Mrs. Helen Bougeois of 805 Ninth Avenue3, Coralville, L. C. Butherus of 209 Linden Court, Jerry Frese of North Liberty, Lisle Hulbut of 436 Beldon Avenue, Joseph Hurt Jr. of Route 1, Myron Kadera of West Branch, Norbert Martel of 3029 Clover Street, H.
