-2- b. Coordinate Johnson County Health Council with Hoover Health Council. Johnson County Health Council accepted as sub-area group of Hoover Health Council at June meeting of the Board of Directors. c. Representation of Johnson County Health Council on Johnson County Board of Health. Membership appointed by Board Supervisors. d. Appoint yearly committee to review and revise Johnson County Health Council Objectives. Suggest term objectives be changed to goals as objectives remain fairly constant. This would appear to be constant responsibility of Executive Committee. e. Obtain U.S. Public Health Service suggestion for "Model County Health Unit." This will be included in a study to be made by League of Women Voters. Executive Committee will request conclusions and recommendations reached by League for follow-up as practical. f. Plan for improved health offices and expanded health department. Director of Health Department cognizant of this need and will meet objectives as feasible. g. Work for increased consumer representation of Johnson County Board of Health. Appointed by Board of Supervisors. Provisions for consumer ratio established by Iowa Code. Will request results of recommendations reached by League of Women Voters regarding Board of Health study. 5. Appoint Health Legislative Committee to study and coordinate efforts for improved financing. Will attempt to organize legislative committee at October 28 open meeting.
