THE WORLD OF THE NEW GENERATION An Exposure Experience Iowa City, Iowa - November 19-20, 1971 Participants: Members of the IUCCM Commission and some Iowa City Board members Schedule: Friday, Nov. 19 - 4:00 p.m. - 1st experience 5:00 p.m. - Orientation 6:00 p.m. - Dinner in dorms or at Christus House 7:15 p.m. - and on into the night - experiences with a variety of groups and persons Saturday, Nov. 20-8:00 a.m. - until the Commission convenes - breakfast and discussion of Friday's experiences with sharing of observations, insights, questions. Note: Participants should plan to arrive by 3-3:30 to check into housing. We would like to discourage anyone from registering who cannot be present by 5 p.m. at the latest, for orientation, and be involved in the entire program. Purpose: To provide exposure to a variety of youth on their own grounds. To listen to them and to engage in some dialogue concerning life styles, values, goals, concerns. Major attention will be focused on those youths who raise the greatest questions in these areas by their activities and life styles. For the Commission and for the local Board members, this is an exciting way to broaden understanding and concern for sone vital aspects of campus ministry. Another bonus is the opportunity for the Commission and local Board members to get better acquainted and thus improve working relationships. Housing: Private homes - a limited number of rooms available. Wesley Foundation - dormitory arrangement with beds and showers - registrants need to bring own bedding and towels Hillcrest Dormitory - these are like hotel accomodations Singles @$10, Doubles @$7 per person Please indicate your first and second preference on the return card. Cost: The Iowa City UCCM Board will cover the cost of all expenses except for travel, room at Hillcrest, and incidentals such as Friday evening refreshments. Registration: Please return the enclosed card as early as possible. Further information will be sent to registrants.
