Subscription rates: 10c per single copy, 3 issues 25c, 6 issues 50c. Ad rates: one-fourth page 30c, half-page 50c, full page $1.00. No stamps, please. Trade ads or subscriptions with other fan publications welcome, as well as any contributions for publication. Unsuitable material, however, may not be returned unless accompanied by return postage. Opinions of writers in this magazine are not necessarily those of the Editors, unless so stated -- the readers' section is open any time to those who wish to utilize it for rebuttals or complaints... ------------------------------------- FANTA-NOTES Many thanks to all you readers for the splendid reception you afforded the Anniversary Issue of Fantasite. That it was well-liked was evidenced by the enormous number of letters received, the many orders for extra copies, and the glowing comments in various publications. If things work out satisfactorily, we will present an even bigger and better mag for the 2nd Anniversary, so stick around! Well, quite a few readers've been clamoring for a picture of the Associate Editor, so, here it is. Satisfied? Messrs. Shaw, Ackerman, and Boggs, in particular, ought to be. After the unprecedented size of our last issue we had rightfully intended cutting this one to twenty pages, to insure more speedy publication of the following issues. But, so much material came in, and so much was on hand, that we had to enlarge a bit to accommodate material which would be otherwise outdated. Financial circumstances permitting, we'll have another Fantasite in your mailbox very soon after this one. And, while we're about it, let us know whether you like the large 23 to 35 page issues, with a longer interval in between, or smaller numbers coming in more rapid succession? There was one fan who, apparently, didn't like the Annish: L. R. Chauvenet. We quote from his postal card: "...I'm slightly allergic to weighty tomes. I've never read GWTW, Anthony Adverse, or Ulysses and never expect to. When it comes to fanzines, I strongly disapprove of anything in excess of 30 pages -- just an antediluvian prejudice. Pay no attention to me. But the thought of all the (wasted?!?) time and energy you devoted to cramming F. full by hook or crook appalls me. Really, the only especially enjoyable feature was Lowndes' lead article." No editorial comments on this! [Portrait of Frances Blomstrand, Associate Editor]
