PSFS News Page 7 now progressing very smoothly., and we all had fine hopes for the future. In September, 1936, the first annual reorganization meeting was held. The club had been fairly inactive during the summer, and it wasn't until the advent of September that meetings could be held regularly. Attending this meeting was Mr. George R. Hahn, a hitherto inactive fan, who was visiting Madle at the time. New officers were elected; Rothman was reelected Director, John Baltadonis became treasurer, and Madle was elected secretary. A few months later, December 1936 #to be exact, a very important event took place. Mr. Rothman conceived and wrote a constitution (the first one the club had, to be frank) which, among other things, proposed that the club change its name to the Philadelphia Science Fiction Society. This was passed and the entire constitution was accepted and adopted. Nothing important occurred until the following September when officers were again elected. This time Robert A. Madle was elected President (the constitution abolished the term Director in preference to President). Milton A. Rothman became secretary (but resign the following meeting--Train was elected in his stead), and Baltadonis was again elected treasurer. In 1937 Bernard Quinn, who had met Madle through an article published in the high school paper, joined the club. Unfortunately, Greenblatt apparently lost interest for he hasn't attended a meeting for well over a year. However, Baltadonis states that he recently met him on the street and claims that Greenblatt still is interested in science fiction, but is unable to attend the meetings. Another real fan, Thomas Whiteside, was introduced to the club by Baltadonis, who had met him while browsing around in a back date magazine store.
