PFSF News Page9 CONSTITUTION OF THE PSFS Article I The name of this society shall be The Philadelphia Science Fiction Society. Article II The object of this club shall be to promote the knowledge of science and science fiction among the members and others, and to bring about a spirit of friendship and good fellowship among the members. Article III The headquarters of this club shall be at the residence of the President. Article IV Membership. Section 1. Any person who is interested in science fiction and who reads science fiction regularly can become a member of the club. Section 2. A new member must attend one meeting before being enrolled as a member and assuming the duties and privileges of a member. Section 3. Members must be voted in by a two thirds vote of the club. Section 4. Members can only be expelled by a two thirds vote of the club. Article V Officers. Section 1. The officers of the club shall be the following: President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Trustee. Section 2. The duties of the club officers shall be as follows: The president presides at all meetings of the club. The secretary shall keep records of the club meetings and conduct all correspondence. The treasurer shall collect dues and be responsible for the safekeeping of any funds belonging to the club.
