organization. The present Evans constitution includes the entrails along with several ruptured appendices. I think that sometimes we forget that the sole purpose of our organization is to sponsor committees, etc. These appointed but independent committees have been doing and will continue to do all the creative work of the NFFF. The board, the official organ, the presidency, etc., all are subordinate to the creative fantasy activities. A simple, clean constitution would go far in de-emphasizing these subordinate factors. One can see the unhealthy attitude growing that the NFFF is simply an entity which spouts monthly doses of verbiage and provides a breeding ground for fan feuds. This neglect of the creative aspects of the group is evident even in the old constitution itself -- with its Judiciary Body, etc. * * * * * * * A letter from Bill Deutsch makes similar remarks approving parts of the Speer constitution and parts of the Crane opus.
