all such duties as performed by the Secretary-Treasurer. As for experience in the financial field, I have 15 years of Financial Secretary-ship in a fraternal organization, and 20 years in business finance. I am very much interested in furthering the growth and strength of the NFFF. In my work as V. President during 1946 I have used my own funds in a lot of extra work that was not expected of me as an officer of Welcom Committee, but which I did solely to give information and help to the new members. I sincerely ask for your valued vote and will do all in my power to continue the advancement of NFFF in fandom. Very Sincerely, Yours, K. Martin Carlson * * * Robert C. Peterson: I am an ex-Serviceman and have had a lot of experience in financial work while in the Army , also in College. I will work for the betterment of the NFFF, and carry on the work of the Office of Sec.-Treas. to the best of my ability, if I am elected. Your vote for me will be very much appreciated. Most Sincerely, Robert C. Peterson * * * * * Directorte ((Step back gents; ladies first, please)) Elsie Janda: I hereby offer myself as a candidate for office as a Director of the NFFF. If elected, I pledge myself to cooperate with all other elected officials, and to work, as in the past, for a larger and more active Society. * * * James "Rusty" Havelin: I hereby enter my name as a candidate for election as member of the Directorate of the National Fantasy Fan Federation for the year 1947. I will make no impossible promises, but will work with other elected officers and the membership to the best of my ability and attempt to make my every decision without prejudice or bias and in the best interests of all the membership. * * * Sanford Kadet: I hereby file my candidacy for the office of member of the Directorate of the NFFF. If elected to this position I will do all in my power to provide greater co-operation between members of the Borad and to suggest changes in the sometimes cumbersome management of this organization. I have attended the PACIFICON and local fan gatherings and from discussions with other fans I feel I could do much to promote the changes that the majority of members desire. There lies my desire to become a member of the NFFF governing body. * * * Benson Perry: It is probably safe to assume that every candidate is attempting to work toward the benefit of the NFFF and therefore fantasy fandom.
