compiling data regarding the status of Chicanos here in Iowa. Juan Cardena has been actively involved with the migrants, not just in Southeast Iowa, but also throughout the States. in the universities we are still looking toward trying to get Chicano Professors inside. Of course the universities are faced with the financial crisis, I think every university in the country is faced with at this point. So therefore it becomes that much more difficult to bring people who are Chicanos or other ethnic monority into a university position Faculty positions especially.
