constitutional rights. To clarify the search warrant procedure a police officer before he can do any kind of a search or even get a warrant he has to have a reason to believe you committed a certain crime. He must have some reliable information about that. He doesn't have to get a search warrant to search your car. He can search your car just for the mere reason that be believes you have something there. In the case of your home you have a much better chance of getting a search warrant to make the search valid. To conclude this workshop we will present sow some resolutions presented to implement them back in your community. Audience Response: I would like to make a resolution that this conference as a body send letters or telegrams to every Senator and Representative of all the states revealing that we are demanding an investigation to the illegal practices of the Immigration Department and the aid they are getting from local police force. Audience Response: I would like to make a resolution that we do not accept immigration at all. That we do not give them any authority as ATZLAN. Audience Response: I move that the justice that works in the barrios should be Chicanos or Spanish speaking. Audience Response: One resolution is to have the police originate from your own community to produce better neighborhood police relations. Have the people pick the police. It must be noted that the main problem here is that the people do not have that power to select, it is a political process. Audience Response: A resolution to distribute information regarding educational grants, educational opportunities. Audience Response: A resolution that La Raza get educated in some of the basic legal areas.
