1948. Not too cold, sunny. Did ironing, sent colored prints of us 4 cousins taken last June 6 to Anna + Lucy. To Madison all P.M. Selected, with K's help, elec. fixtures for house, + got small kitchen window on East Side. 1949 Enuf girls work after lunch to make an extra class each day! All H.S. girls were guests o FHA from 2:15 to 3, to see my Chinese things. A stack of notebooks in eve. Reading "The Proud Heart" 1950. Did first machine-quilting - all of bed jacket for Kathryn. Cut out blue paisley print for Hans' mother, seamed up skirt + sleeves. Walked downtown. 1951 Frank came home 1:30 AM. I didn't sleep for 2 hrs - so had to nap in P.M. Baked cookies. Read. 1952 Drove to S.S. - 107 - Mr. Kromrey began on "The Mature Mind." 11 in class. Sig, K, Frank all here for dinner. Ironed 6 shirts for Frank.
