Saving...
October 21 1917. Home all day. Wrote to papa, Florence, + Aunt Emma. 1918. I did a ten days' washing before noon. Box came from Sis with little patterns, woolen shirts, bibs, etc. Did some mending. Hans and I harvested another two rows of potatoes. 1919. Mrs. Denison came before 9 AM for help with a dress. Baked chicken pie and pumpkin pie, washed woolens for Hilda. Sewed on my waist, crocheted on her nightingale. All of us went to garden after school, for beans, potatoes (the latter are a short crop) but Hilda kept me from doing much. 1920. Was wakeful in night so back was very tired, but I baked big batch of bread and bread-sponge cake, did my ironing in a little less than 2 hours, and made Hilda's eighth pair of panties. Harry went home for a few days. Wrote to mamma. Card from Cousin Frank that he is coming. 1921. Turned down invitations to party at Alf. Ruggeberg's, and reception for new preacher. Hans and I husked corn in P.M. in back field. I wore his unionalls. I drove load home while he brought cows.
