JANUARY 2 1936. Washed; Signe hung clothes in attic. Feel all tired out, possibly flu and overstepping my prescribed diet. Snowed nearly all day. Kathryn at E.L. bobsled party. 1937. Snow covered ground over nite. Finished Kathryn's snow pants, cut out rust wool dress for her. Baked nut-applesauce cookies. Hans went to farm after dinner and helped Bill butcher a hog. Frank in house with cold. 1938. Paving clear of ice. Girls and I received by Trousdale Church by letter and Frank on probation. Hans wouldn't go with us. Finished totaling 1937 account book. 1939. Letter from Amanda, they will move to our farm March 1, farming on shares. We wrote them. Signe dressed her first goose. I baked bread, K cookies. 19
