FEBRUARY 14 14° + colder, with mean wind. finished my green velvet hat. Garden Club guest night. I took Mrs. Albrecht. Met at G. N. Maxwell's, Lillian and Jennie W. sang my song - [20°?] [Name] Witson called from Waterloo, then [illegible] from 10 to 3:30. Good visit - he with [illegible] S.D.A. this winter. Baked cherry pie. Hans went to Ames for Dairy Industry week. Took cottage cheese to Dora. Canned 4 qt. ham, made leaf chard, baked beans, made scrapple. Worked on my dress a little. Hans in Madison in A.M- + home for dinner. Wrote Bea + card to Hans. Baked bread. Finished lunchcloth. So nice I washed hall windows glass doors.
