FEBRUARY 22 -2° - and all the fires went out! Best day for more than a month. Baked chocolate cookies, made yeast, also my white linen slip. Signe and Hans took Mrs. Byer to Buckhorn No school as Breneman's [storm?] staid at Randalia. Signe did ironing, Hilda cut + made part of her red wool dress - Frank shoveled snow. I mended. Blew nose all day. Hilda home making her curtains as no school. I drove in to East High for the 4 high schoolers. Made cherry pie. No school in Madison today - so girls home. 2300 flu cases reported in Madison I made myself light print apron by Prairie Farmer pattern.
