JUNE 29 Sprinkled on clothes—but no rain. Helped Signe and Kathryn can 1/2 qt. peas. Signe finished cleaning office. So coal had range fire for muffins, wheat, & burnt sugarcake. Repaired braided rugs. Crocheted a blue cotton one. Letter to Dora. Went to Madison with Hans and broadcast at [illegible] from WHA on "Making Pimento Cheese at Home". Slept an hour in P.M. Find I'm very tired after 8 days traveling when we drove more than 1100 miles. Went to ice cream E.L. social at Trousdale. 9 Stayed in bed. Signe took Miss A to 7:30 A.M. bus, then did big washing. Lucille Swingle here in eve. Letters from Joy, Johann Skott & 7. 9
