JULY 21 19 Washed, also ironed and mended some. Rain too late to help garden very much. 19 We gave house some polishing up. 30 here to W.H.M.S. annual picnic. Birthday cake for Belle Broessel. Mrs. Simpson gave book review. Wrote Hans 2 letters, and to Sperley. 19 Picked and sent 5 qt. berries to Mrs. Swodley. Sewed a bit in forenoon, then preparing 6 kinds of vegetables doesn't leave much time. Took nap. Took strip out of old linen tablecloth.
