SCIENTI-SNAPS Page 15 Richard Wilson, Jr., of Richmond Hill, N.Y. writes as follows: "Received and have read my 3 copies of your SCIENTI-SNAPS and have a few things to say. Who is Henry Haskel Hunter? You? i supposed so." (How come? Don't you think H.H.H. may really be Hunter? Ed.) "The 'contents, what there are, are very good and make interesting reading, but, as I infer, there isn't enough. I think you would do a lot better to have less and longer artides. For instance: had you 'Vampires and Werewolves', 'The Living Idol*, and "A Word about Books and Movies', the first two complete and the latter lengthened, in this issue and only these. You'd have had a superb number. Reading SCIENTI- SNAPS this time is like taking one bite of each course in a seven-course dinner—-you don't get much satisfaction from it." (You'll find, Dick, that the articles are longer in this issue, Henceforward we hope to have only complete stories and articles in SCIENTI-SNAPS. Ed. ) Louis Kuslan of West Haven, Conn. sends the following letter: "Please do not bind the mangazine with such a glaring red cover. Mail the magazine in a folder which will protect it even more. As for the material, it was exceptionally poor. Why not get some material by the prominent fans, instead of writing it all yourself. The name of the magazine is SCIENTI-SNAPS. Stick to Science Fiction. Don't give us Weird articles unless you change the name. To end up, I will say that I like the hectographing and the type of paper used." We are very disappointed by the general tone of this letter. Of course, Mr. Kuslan has a perfect right to his convictions, but he apparently gives credit for nothing. However, we hope he likes this issue better than the last.) Note: To give more letters, we have omitted from the above, comments regarding the production of the magazine. Our red cover was hailed as most unique. Most people liked our paper, and we have not received one "kick" on the hectograph!ng„
