"No," answered the Masked Spaceman. "I guess none of us want to see men killed. You stay here and don't do a thing until you hear from us. I'm not going after the man who'd get the profits if war came." He stepped outside and into the taxi before anyone saw him. "Take me to the Capital Hotel" he voiced to the driver. "Yes sir," answered the driver and took off. In the ten minutes he landed the taxi before the Capital Hotel. "Here," he said to the driver, "take this for your good work." The driver swallowed and couldn't say a word. In his hand was an enormous piece of gold. The Masked Spaceman stepped into the hotel & gave a ticket to the clerk and asked where he could pick up the large box. "It's in the back, next to the empty lot," said the clerk. "Thanks," answered the Masked Spaceman, "That's just fine." He went to the rear of the hotel and opened the large box. In it was his famous, black, Super, space ship. He pulled it out of the box, checked it over and got in. A minute later he had taken off. No one had been around and since the ship made no noise, no one heard or saw him leave. Later on top of the home of Leo Black, the warship and arms manufactorer, a small, noiseless spaceship landed. Out of it stepped a figure completely dressed in black. He walked over to the staircase to the lower floors and walked down. In the library, Leo Black was studying reports and order sheets. The door in back of him opened and a ghostly figure in black walked in. Leo Black turned and fear leaped into his eyes. "The Masked Spaceman," he wailed. "What do you want? I haven't done anything wrong. I----"
