AS OTHERS SEE US by San Moskowitz No 2 John J Weir I dare say that while Weir is very well-known to some fans he isn't notorious enough to have been voted by every one. He is the only fan of note residing in or around South Anboy, N.J. Doesn't seek notoriety and takes things very easy as far as his fan activities are converned although there is no question as to his being a real, and very enthusiastic fan. But he's the sort of a guy who lingers on, and on, and on. Never mixes in arguments, and pops up in the most unusual places. As to appearence he reminds one more of Mickey Rooney more than any one I've ever seen. Same general appearance, height, though, if anything, a bit more handsome than his movie star version. Of certain stock, he's always pleasant. Very neat and matieulous in everything he does though a bit plodding and slow. Is a bosom pal of Corwin F. Stickney, whom he knew before the "Correspondent" days, and has often exchanged visits. On very good terms with Baltsudonis[?] and Moskowitz. He has attended most conventions of note. He was present at the Second Convention held in N.Y also at the "First National" in Newark, has visited Philly, Belleville, and N.Y more or less often. His favorite sport is long distance running, & I can just picture him now as the three of us, Stideney[?], Weir, and myself hot-footed it along the pleasant Bellevillle lanes on many an occassion. However, his short, though husky stature has [illegible] him and his amateur standing is not too good. Has been a member of FAPA, Phantasy Leigon, [illegible], and others.
