A NOTE FROM THE EDITOR There is contained in this issue a somewhat larger and more varied amount of material than in previous numbers. We hope that those of you who have not before subscribed to the magazine will do so, if you find the material herein presented of sufficient interest to you. The issuance of the magazine in its present form has entailed no little expenditure on the part of the publishers, so your remittance,or the introduction of any friends to the magazine would be an assistance in production. After reading the contents of the magazine you will undoubtedly have found a number of statement with which you disagree. This is the natural result to be expected. We have included material in this which happens to be a contradiction to some of our beliefs, yet the subject matter was thought to be of sufficient discussional value to justify its publication. In editorially written material we have, in so far as possible, attempted to apeal , not individually, but disinterestedly of topics we felt needing discussion. We have, in discussing science fiction and examples of it, kept in mind a constant comparison of the individual stories and publications being discussed and what we have come to believe in our experience to be classed as worthwhile literature and to be recommended as a contribution to posterity. This index has been obtained through the combined factors of our individual inclination and the effect which the literature we have observed has had upon our minds. As these influences vary with the individual opinions with which ours differ are bound to exist in numbers as a matter of course.We believe that anyone who may hold opinions (please turn to page seven)
