Benjamin of the department of history was chosen president of the Political Science club at a meeting held Monday evening in the liberal arts drawing room. Prof. Benjamin has been acting president since Prof. D E. Clark left the University. Prof. F. E. Haynes, assistant in sociology, was chosen secretary. He has been in the intelligence service of the army on General Pershing's staff. HUMANISTS ELECT Election of officers of the Humanist society took place Monday evening at its annual meeting which was held at the home of Prof. J. H. Scott. Prof. C. E. Young was elected president; Prof. J. S. Magnuson, secretary; and Miss H. M. Eddy, third member of the membership committee. Bernice Banks has left school and has gone to her home in Ames. We who were not permitted to go across can send our $$$ which will be worth 100 cents over there. There is no local expense, remember. If every student in Iowa City would save 10 cents a day for two weeks they would not miss it. Give and then save. Get the habit. Be Loyal. Be Generous.
