Tuesday, Marc 11, 1919 THE DAILY IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY OF IOWA PAGE THREE SOCIETY AND PERSONAL Dean C.E. Seashore will speak on Anthropology and Psychology in the reorganigation of the National Research Council" at the Philosophical club tonight at 8 o'clock. Triangle club will be entertained at a picnic supper this evening at the clubrooms at 6 o'clock. Hot potatoes and coffee will be served by the hostesses who are Mrs. Walter A Jessup, Mrs. D.O. McGoveny, Mrs. H.C. Horack, Mrs. Arthur Steindler, Mrs. R.A. Keuver, Mrs. C. L. Robbins, Mrs. J.M. Fisk, Mrs. E. E. Russel, Amy L. Daniels, Edith Bell, L.M. McGuire, and Ellen Thornburg. Y.W.C.A. will serve tea in the Y.W. room Wednesday at 4.00 o'clock. At 4:30 Miss Mary A. Cheek of the Presbyterian board will speak on "In the Service". Miss Cheek will be here several days and will be glad to meet any Presbyterian girls. The Epworth League twelve piece orchestra of the Methodist church gave a musical program at the hospital at Oakdale Sunday afternoon and evening. Winifred Bailey of Waverly visited Margaret Brown at the Tri-Delt house this week. Frances Garris, Delta Zeta, attended Alpha Gamma Tau initiation dinner-dance and Mu Phi dance of Drake university at Des Moines during the week end. Agnes Knight of Currier hall returned Sunday after a visit at her hone in Estherville. Ursula Dunham, Alpha Xi Delta, was called to Wapello Saturday on account of the death of her grandmother. Verna Lliff, B.A. '18, of Eldora is visiting at the Alpha Delta Pi house. Harold James of Williamsburg visited his sister Gladys James at the Alpha Chi Omega house. Ira Carrithers coach of basketball at Coe college, visited here for a few days this week. Mary Daugherty and Mrs. C. H. Nelson of Guthrie Center are visiting Helen Daugherty at the Alpha Delta Pi house. David Jones and William Halverson of Williamsburg are visiting Clifford Von Hoene at he Sigma Phi Epsilon house. PROFESSOR WARDALL SPEAKS TO FRESHMEN Prof. Ruth A. Wardall of the home economics department spoke at the freshman lecture Thursday on "Home Economics."
