TO OBSERVE SPECIAL HOLY WEEK Easter There Will Be Featured in Music, Poetry and Scripture To observe Holy Week the Y.W.C.A. is planning special devotional meetings every morning and an Easter service Wednesday afternoon. Everyone who is interested in the observation of this week will be welcomed to any or all of these meetings. The devotional meetings will be held in the Y.W.C.A. parlor at 7:30 each morning and will be over in plenty of time for 8 o'clock classes. There will be special music in keeping with the services. Bernice Cole, secretary of the Y.W.C.A. will have charge of the first meeting Monday morning and Elsie Katz will give a violin solo. On Tuesday the meeting will be in charge of Margaret Dolliver, a member of the year's cabinet. Arena Watters, president of the Y.W.C.A. 1915-16, will lead the meeting on Wednesday, and Blanche Miller will sing. The new president, Mary Anderson, will be in charge of Thursday's meeting and Lorna Schuppert will sing. The last meeting on Friday morning will be lead by Margaret Hays, the new vice-president of the Y.W.C.A. All of these meetings will be short, full of life and very much worth while, according to members of the committee which is planning the meetings. On Wednesday afternoon at the regular time for the Y.W.C.A. meeting there will be an Easter service which has been yorked [sic?] out specially for the local Y.W.C.A. The theme "I am the resurrection and the life, whosoever believeth on Me shall never die," will be presented in music, poetry, and scripture, while burning tapers will throw light upon a large sign bearing the theme. Easter lilies and palms will be used. A choir and two soloists will give the special music while the two readers will present the rest of the theme. This meeting will commence at 4:30 in the liberal arts drawing room, but a special Easter tea will be served in the Y.W.C.A. parlors at 4 o'clock. Every women is invited to attend these meetings. COMMERCE CLUB MEETS Commerce club will meet Tuesday at 8 o'clock at the Commercial club rooms. Dean W.F. Russell will discuss the Russian situation. SENIOR COMMITTEE MEETS The senior organization committee will meet Monday at 5 o'clock in room 105 liberal arts building. Marc Mullaney is chairman. Other members are Eleanor Steinberg, Glenn Greenwood, E.W. Bond, Lloyd Richmond, Glen Taylor, J.A. Blitz, William Benda, Homer Brown, Arthur Donald Stewart, Helen Grotewohl, and Violet Blakely. Delta Gamma week end guests are: Helen Marquis, Clinton; Bessie Bough, Harlen; Martha Moore, Anna Lee Ringold, and Helen Nelson, Burlington; Evelyn McClure, Waverly; Martha Tuttle, Des Moines, and Mrs. J.P.
