Omaha, Nebraska, Novermber 7, 1939 Dear Mary: I am wondering if you would care to have the Omaha Kinnicks drop in on you later in this month? Say, from Wednesday the 22nd to Sunday the 26th. Perhaps you will not have to think long before you remember that the lowa-Northwestern Game comes on the 25th. Last year I took no vacation, and so far this year I have had none and as far as I am concerned I should very much like to have one. With the boys home all summer we did not want to be away, but I shall need to use part of my time this year or it will not accumulate any more than 30 days, and I will lose it. Frances does not want to miss more than one Sunday from her job as reader, and she has to be back for the Thanksgiving service on the 30th. But we would rather like to combine a bit of vacation with the NW game, particularly as Frances will not otherwise get to see Iowa perform this year. For a while the problem of caring for George had us stumped, but to-day Frances suggested taking him along, and he seems willing enough, if you can imagine that. If you can give us shelter during that period it is likely that we shall leave Omaha on the 20th, Monday, and stay that night in Adel; Cedar Rapids the next night and in to Chicago on the Wednesday, In the two days of Thursday and Friday I will try to show George something of the city. Saturday we will eye the game. Possibly Nile will be glad to ride back to Iowa City with us on Sunday, Possibly you and Jack plan to see the NW game also. Do you have tickets? Would you like to have me get them thru Nile? Probably there will be quite a demand for tickets, particularly if Iowacontinues to surprise the folks, but I believe that Nile can get good tickets if we let him know soon, I have seen the first two home games at Iowa City, the Dakota and the Indiana games. It is also on my schedule to see the Notre Dane and Minnesota games. George went with me to the Dakota game and will be with me next Saturday. Ben has seen the Indiana game and plans to see the ND and Minngames. It is rather fun to see the Iowa boys in a winning streak for once, and Nile certainly is enjoying It. I wonder if you and Jack went down to Lafayette last Saturday? You did two years ago I remember. Love Mary Kinnick Lindsay - 6816 Cregier Ave.
