MRS. WILLIAM J. LINDSAY 6816 CREGIER AVENUE CHICAGO November 9th 1939 Dear Nile, We will be delighted to have the Omaha Kinnicks over the week-end of November 22-25th. You may not realize that you will be spending Thanksgiving with us as Illinois is celebrating the 23rd. Mary,Mac, Bill and Lindsay will be here too so you will see two of the finest grandchildren to say nothing of the latest member of the McCormac family, "Teddy", a wire-haired fox terrier. We will expect you for dinner Wednesday night. We usually have our Thanksgiving dinner in the evening(five or six) so you and George will have some time for sight-seeing. By the way, does George scorn turkey as he does chicken? if he does, I'll provide a ham sandwich for him. We have been invited by some friends to attend the Northwestern game and to go to dinner with them afterwards, so I know you will not mind if we keep this engagement. Mary and Mac are going too. If you want to bring Nile Jr. back with you to spend the night, there is plenty of room for him too, and we will be very glad to have him. We did not go to Lafayette this year, Jack went to Adel to see some cattle Charley bought in Omaha, but I listened to the game, the first one I have heard as the others have not been broadcasted over the Chicago stations. This time I fished until I found one that was broadcasting it. Mac has heard all the games as his radio brings in the outside stations better than ours do. We have four radios and the only one that would bring the game in was the portable one. Mary and Mac are going to the Notre Dame game. Nile Jr. got their tickets for them so he may be able to tell you where they are if you are interested. They didn't decide to go until this week so they will pick up the tickets there. I'll be listening to the game for I'll be taking care of the children and the dog. Jack's mother passed away the middle of last month, if you have not seen the Bice s since then you may not have learned of her death. We will be looking for you Wednesday,November 22nd. Love, Mary
