Saving...
Mrs. Murphy was at dinner Ray was broken-hearted that he had to go to a convention Mr. Arlo Wilson, President University of Iowa Alumni Association Downtown Athletic Club New York City Biloxi, Mississippi Sincerely wish I could be with you and the group which tonight pay tribute to a grand American boy, Nile Kinnick, and his coach, Dr. Eddie Anderson. Back home in Iowa City Frank Carideo, Jim Harris, Glen Devine and Nile's team mates and many others will join in the plaudits and the praise that will be his, because, great star that he was, Nile never forgot to give credit to his team mates, who, like Nile, fought to the limit of their endurance and capacity for and with and as a team. To a great player, Nile Kinnick, to a great coach, Eddie Anderson, to his assistants, Carideo, Harris and Devine, to the Men of Iron, Iowa's 1939 football team, salute! RAY MURPHY RM:ER
