I have spent a great deal of time during the past month wondering just what I have been getting of value from college; just how a man should study, etc. Certainly it is practically impossible to answer dogmatically. However, I think I have some good ideas on the subject - realizing, of course, that the answers to such questions would have to differ from individual to individual - and am hoping you will tolerate good-humoredly my observations on the problem. My letters home are about the only opportunity I have for written expression of my sentiments on such matters. Again I woo your tolerance and urge expression of your own feelings on the subject if you so desire.
