Dear President Hancher:
It was very kind of you to take time from
your busy schedule and write me in the vein that you
did. Your sound counsel and words of encouragement
were very heartening to me. Thank you for your
thoughtfulness.
Mr. Hall wrote me for a copy of my little
talk on Armistice Day just before I left for the
Service. I have been wondering just what use he
made of it. He was most generous in his editorial
comment, frankly, what he said made me extremely
happy. My gratitude to you for sending it along.

which you head.
