Correspondence concerning the commemoration of Nile Kinnick, 1941-1997

Dear Friend of the University of Iowa:
No more appropriate memorial could be created at the
University of Iowa than the establishment of the Nile Kinnick
scholarships.   The Nile Kinnick Memorial Scholarship Fund
will serve to perpetuate the tradition of leadership, attainment
and loyalty which reached inspired heights during Nile's days
on the University campus.   The scholarships offer outstanding
students ample means to enable them to devote their entire
time to their studies and activities.
Mr. and Mrs. Kinnick, Nile's father and mother, have
expressed our thoughts so appropriately that we wish to quote
what they said, 'We feel certain that Nile would take much
satisfaction in knowing that through the scholarships he will
be extending a helping hand to future students of similar
aspirations.'
