Saving...
George's performance at forward against Omaha U. sounded darned good. If that is the position he prefers to play I hope he gets further opportunity. But he mustn't forget that all-around team efficiency is the important thing. If Ross feels his play at guard helps in that respect, I trust he will submit cheerfully and give his all. I am reinclosing Fred's check which I want matched from my account and presented to George with my compliments for exemplary work on the hardcourt. If Benson wins out at the auditorium and is sent to the state tournament I should like him to receive $5 from me to help defray personal expenses. Have you read Henry Wallace's recent speech delivered at Ohio Wesleyan University? Thought it very good. Received a note of Bill Green's marriage in Newton while he was home on leave. He is a Navy pilot recently out of Corpus. Any reading material, or anything else, you wish to send me is ok, mother. However, once I leave there won't be much point in it, for it isn't likely to catch up for a good long time. One of our men back from the Pacific
