Appreciated the comment on my political interests and also your effort along this line. Its a lot of fun to try one's hand don't you think? Had seen Lippman's article on Wilkie and thought his point well taken. In N.Y. I bought a copy of Wendell's new book, "One World." The parts that I have read are very good. If he could speak as well as he can write he would be a cinch. Give my best to Reese for the butter. Very generous of him. Am anxious to hear the latest flood news. Hope they were able to keep it in check. While In N.Y. I bought, rather belatedly, a birthday present for you consisting of three books. Knowing your interest in geography and passion for exact detail I purchased a leather bound, current edition of Rand-McNally Atlas. Our other one is pretty old by now.
