Suppose you know that old BHS had quite a basketball season, losing out to Lincoln in the finals of the state tournament. From all I can gather Cap.'t Kinnick gave a pretty fair account of himself. In the last game he was high point man from the guard position with 4 buckets and a free throw. In one respect he reminded me of your high school career, to wit, he fouled out in about 1/4 of the games. Never could understand why some of you gents always play dirty. Believe George gained second All-State recognition on one of the papers' selections. Had a letter from Pettet some time ago evidently mailed from Pearl Harbor. He is 1st pilot on a DC-3 now. Have not heard James L. George for a good long time. He may have moved on. Had you heard that Pete Paige was killed in an operational crash at Guadacanal.
