Monday May 3, 1943 Dear Folks: There is so much I would like to tell you, but which in strict honesty I must not. Suffice it to say that things are going well and that I am ready and eager for the coming months. Most of all I am going to miss a daily newspaper and the weekly current events magazines. I don't relish the prospect of losing touch with all that is going on in the world these days, no matter how exciting my own experiences may be. Enclosed is a money order for $110.00 which I want deposited to my account; my social security card and drivers license should be filed away until I return. May I anticipate next Sunday and wish you a very happy Mother's Day, Mrs. Kinnick. I shall be thinking of you, and my thoughts shall be loaded with flowers and everything lovely and good. Much love, Nile
