The F4U is equal, or a little better in performance but gives poor visibility ahead and to the side. It also seems to have a few bugs in it which need ironing out. Haven't heard from Bob since we parted at Norfolk, but presume he is on the west coast by now. A letter from Elsie disclosed that she now wears his wings, and strongly indicated more than passing affection on her part. Glad to hear that George ranked seventh in his vocabulary test. Would suggest he now practice putting words together so they form good sentences. A little careful thought and patience would bring marked improvement. Don't hesitate to start over if you can think of a better phrase and a finer grouping. As for where he may want to attend college I don't know what to suggest. Mayhap, he would rather I wouldn't! Understand the social life at Missouri is really something! Has he ever thought about Colorado U. at Boulder? Is Nebr. definitely out? I shall write Frank Williams of the Iowa City bank tonight, Gus.
