Saving...
Monday Jan.18,1943 Dear Bob, Your letters came in today, and I now proceed to confirm the plans we made by telephone Saturday afternoon. As things now stand we'll meet at the Commodore Hotel on Saturday night, Jan. 23rd. If I can catch a transport I"ll be downtown by seven oclock, otherwise, it will be around ten or ten-thirty. Will probably have to start back rather early in the evening on Sunday due to the length of the train ride. However, I anticipate we shall have a very pleasant re-union for a night and a day. If you really know some pretty fair looking dollies in New York who can be contacted without "sub-waying" or taxiing all over Manhattan island why don't you line them up? True, the wide difference in my possible time of arrival complicates things, but for an old operator like you I don't suppose that presents much of an obstacle?! Whatever you do or decide will be ok by me. Remind me to tell you of a mighty fine deal I had in Greensboro, N.C. not so awfully long ago. Hold the phone! One week ago last Friday ten of us took a transport to Norfolk to get some planes which we were to ferry back to Quonset. Bad weather held
