I might add that the atmosphere of the Barclay Hotel is one of quiet refinement throughout. This is the straight dope, and not written just for home consumption. In not time at all Ellie had tomato soup, sandwiches, cocoa, and cookies served up in the front room. We lunched and visited for well over an hour without a break.
