and makes the beds, were all on hand looking much the same. The boys were proud to announce that they had a full house and that they had won the scholarship trophy last semester, all of which sounded pretty good to an ardent alumnus like me. On the way over to the game I ran into Sgt. Buckley and Sgt. [Lemmais?] who used to drill me in ROTC. Several of the other seargents saluted me, but not these two old friends; they just shook hands in their bluff, hearty way free from all formality and military etiquette. In the dressing room I found Judge McKinley - old faithful himself. Up in the press box I ran in to Tait Cummins of the C.R. Gazette, Leo Kautz of the Davenport Times, and several others. Just outside in the stands I exchanged greetings with Dick Plock of Burlington (partner of Carl Pryor & youngest member of the Ia. board of Education), Pres. Hancher, Craven Shuttleworth, Rollie Williams, Mr. Wienecke, ad infinitum.
