4 night we left the kids with some lady and went to see "Pride of the Yankees." Found it quite good, and now have a keener appreciation of George's remark, "Don't be like Mrs. Gehrig, Mom." Mon. morning I visited a couple of hours with Tait at the Gazette office and then walked over to the [Butane?] Gas Co. hoping to see Otto. He was out, however, and wasn't expected back that afternoon, so I pulled out for Iowa City on that 2 oclock trolley. Before going over to the Iowa practice field I stopped in the Navy Pre-Flight School's dressing room at the north end of the stadium to say hello to Mertes, Frye, Couppee, and Brady. After watching them work out a little and considering their score against Kansas I don't see how they can miss. Anderson put his lads through a little scrimmage
