area terrifically large in extent. I finally located the officer of the day and was sent down to barracks SP64. I asked without success if Bob and I could room together, but next best I find myself with Haugebak again. This morning I started checking in, but since they aren't too "eager" about this I am going to procrastinate in the hope that Bob will get here in time to check in with me. The rumor is that we are all going to be transferred to Jacksonville in a couple of weeks to finish our training. All the planes here - 1st line aircraft - are to be ferried down. The why and wherefore I don't know, but that is the way the story goes. Also, the uncorroborated rumor is that fighter 16 is going on the New Lexington (formerly Cabot)
