find & rents are out of sight. The time spent together would be under most unfavorable conditions & your money would just about take care of everything and that's all. On the other hand, if you stay in a BOQ after being commissioned & don't race around too much you can't help but save plenty. Will write again after getting settled at the station. Things go well with me as I hope they do with you. Remember that this war is but a passing incident of mortal thought, horrible though it may seem, and that it will destroy itself before too long. Don't let it get you down. Ran into Ensign Ham Ries the other day in Norfolk. I knew him at Ia before he went to Annapolis. He said he had you in class at St. Mary's for awhile; in seamanship, I believe. Yours, Nile
