2 I mildly cautioned Sir Robert that there was considerable difference between training planes and the ones actually used in combat. I could see that he believed me, but that he didn't fully appreciate what I was saying. However, when he came bursting into my room after his first hop day before yesterday I got my reward. I laughed till I ached and so did he now that he was again on the ground. He was still shaking when he came in the door and dropped limply into the chair and with humorous relief said, "Well, I got it down, but oh boy!" It was an easy plane to land but the first time or two really keys you up.
