Saving...
past couple of days, quite in contrast with the very warm weather when we first arrived. Enclosed are a couple of clippings, one from the Jax paper and one from the C.R. Gazette which Bibba sent me. Much love, Nile P:S: Listened to Wilkie's talk the other night. Thought it pretty good didn't you? We've all been feeling pretty low over the loss of the Wasp. Rumors came to us from boys back from the fleet that the Army & Navy aren't cooperating at all in the Solomons area. Perhaps, by the time this reaches you, things will have taken a turn for the better. Thought Admiral Thomas Hart's articles in the Post about three or four weeks ago were subtle examples of the tension & jealousy between our armed services. Please deposit the enclosed check for $51.36 to my acc't Gus. If I am not mistaken I have now sent enough money to take care of my uniform bill.
